Mission

Food, Clean Water, Medical Assistance, Education. All are essential for improving the quality of life in the developing world. Electricity is a keystone for advancement of these efforts.

Power From the SON (PFS) engineers, procures, and constructs efficient electrical systems for hospitals, schools, and missions in the developing world. Our systems are practical for the environment they are called upon to serve.

PFS is a volunteer organization with vast experience in American power systems. Whenever possible, systems are designed and constructed using quality surplus and obsolete materials donated by the electric industry.

The beneficiaries of a Power From the SON system are required to pay in sweat equity. The recipients must participate, to the best of their ability, in the planning, coordinating, logistics, and construction of the project. Education on safety, maintenance and system expansion are required.

“Teach a man how to make a fishing pole, show him how to fish, and then let him provide for himself and his family.” That’s the philosophy behind Power From the SON.
